What a wonderful shade of red you're wearing
As you stride right past me, your dress shimmering in your wake
Your eyes pass over me, then look forward again
My head turned down, I watch you walk away

I always see you in red.
You always see me in blue.
At first the world was purple
Now it's monochrome.

Everyone glances up when you shout your arrival
They nod a hello, you grin a goodbye
My fist clenches and I walk in after you
Silent warrior, her battlefield.

You walk out there, showing off that red dress
You talk loud, commanding your false set stage
Swirling around, demanding all eyes on you
Leaving everyone behind you in your red dresses wake.

I always see you in red.
You always see me in blue.
At first the world was purple.
Now it's monochrome.

My mind hazes over as I watch you
I remember back to a purple day
I introduced you to lime green
I glance up and see her with you.

You two remain close
After I was pushed away
I'm curious as to: does she know?
About the day the colors washed out.

You strut your stuff.
I stand quietly, for one moment longer
I can't stand seeing red anymore…
And so I scream.

I always see you in red.
You always see me in blue.
At first the world was purple.
Now it's monochrome.

As my yell loudens
All eyes turn to me
No longer staring at your red dress
But me, in my blue

"I was here first" my screams are getting at
I don't even know what I happened to say
But your face, jaw open and eyes bugged out
Made my day.

I screamed my heart out
Using words that I knew would sting
Your face changed,
And I felt a sting of my own

You hit me as hard as before
And twisted all my reasons back on me
None of your own, but all stolen
Just like you've always done it

I always see you in red.
You always see me in blue.
At first the world was purple.
Now it's monochrome.

The charcoal shades me dark.
Just like your outline
Your ideas are smudged
Mine are crystal clear.

A monochrome world is better
Than that of the lies we lead.
So every time you walk into this party
Your red dress passing me by

Your judging eyes, glancing me up and down
Your heels, turning and leaving me in your wake
Remember this, Remember it well.
This is my ball.

And my blue gown will always outshine yours.
So. It's a poem.
I tried to put some symbolism into it?
I tried to make it good. Y'know, a new best. Honestly my poems have been bad as of latley.... x(
So, i hope this one is better.
Tell me thoughts, concerns, or even how you interprate it--i enjoy feedback ^_^
