First day out of the hospital, and Demini was running around the streets trying to get some work. Playing her violin occasionally, painting sometimes--drawing people when they asked for it. She had more work now--people seemed to recognize her from the Tournament. although, they recognized her as the looser. Little kids would relay the epic way she lost to her... over. and over again.
She shoved most of what they said out of her head--she was glad for the extra work. It'd help pay off her debts. She needed it, really...
Riley walked through the streets of the Neutral city with determination in his step. He was looking for the girl who obviously stood a chance. The girl... who might be the only family he had left. And even then he wasn't sure.
And then he spotted her.
He wasn't the kind of guy to think things out at all. So as he neared her, he had no idea why he was walking up to her... or what he was going to say. But he went with it.
Riley grabbed onto Demini's arm and began walking with her.
"What the heck are you doing? Let go of me! Who are you?!"
"My name is R--*ahem* My name is Lei, i saw you in the tournamet. And. I'm going to train you." Riley replied bluntly. It was the fist time he'd wanted to introduce himself as Riley...
"I don't need training! Let go!" She shouted as she began tugging on her arm, "I'll kick your knee out if you don't let go!"
Riley stopped and sighed. He didn't want to have the wrong impression on this girl... God, he wanted her to be his sister so badly. It was almost like she was the last link to this work he had left... and... he needed it so badly.
"Sorry. I just... I want to train you. And... In those fights you showed so much skill--like, i could tell you'd never been in a fight before. Your reactions were a bit slow. But i could tell you had training. And, i'd like to give you more--REAL sparring and stuff... so that if this ever happens again, you can win." He paused for a moment, taking in Demini's expression--she wasn't running away, but she wasn't going with him either. "Plus! Us Emolga gotta stick together, riiiighhhttt?" He grinned a bit, hoping it'd help.
"Why should i trust you? Listen, i need to go" Demini said flatly, and as she began to turn she mumbled a "I have a few debts i need to pay off."
"I'll help you pay off your debts if you let me teach you."
"What?"
"I will help you pay off all your debts, if you let me teach you."
And after a bit more of banter, Demini said "okay."
(quick finish cause its getting long)
