Personality: He's impulsive and doesn't always think about what he does. Really, he's more of a do-er than a thinker. He's got a temper that can very easily be switched on or off--mostly on. He's pretty good at taking orders, though, although he'd rather do his own thing. He tends to get clingy or touchy-feely with people he gets close to, although at the same time he doesn't get close to people quickly at all. He can sometimes sound optimistic, and can be very hopeful, but at the same time he can go off on rants about how the world is trash--he still hopes for the best though, although he rarely admits it. He's also hard to scare, and again, if he is, he'd never admit it. He’s amazing at being annoying, and horrible with math.

History: He found himself in an orphanage at the age of two. He was the one always causing ruckus, and was more or less a problem child. He acted out a lot due to his temper, however even so he managed to gain two people who stuck by his side--actually because of his temper he met them. Jem, a panpour, and Kelsey, a klink. Jem got picked on quite a bit do to his quiet nature--he'd rather read books and learn than play video games. One day one of the kids Riley--at the time known as "Kamikazi" or "Kami"--didn't like, was picking on Jem. So rielly stood up for him, protecting Jem. Jem in turn ended up talking to Riley a lot, and eventually they got along. Riley met Kelsey because he got in over his head with one of the older kids, and Kelsey snapped at them--and of course she got the guy to stop (i mean a pretty girl tells you to stop picking on someone, you usually comply) and Kelsey was Riley's new friend. Although he got upset about the whole incident, "I had it! I didn't need help from a girl!" However Kelsey ended up having a huge impact on him. The two friends he made really resulted in the kind of attitude and knowledge he has now: Facts from Jem, philosophy and wisdom from Kelsey. However, that's the only knowledge he gained.

Due to the fact he kept getting temporarly taken in by families and then sent back, he felt abandonded and hated--as though he disgusted the families who considered him. He started getting bad grades in school, and failing out. One family tried to push him too far--thretening to send him to boot camp--so he ran away at the age of 15. Living on the streets of Diavolo, he learned how to pick pocket and live off of garbage and any materials for clothes he could find. For about a year, anyway.
At sixteen, he pick pocketed a drug dealer, who chased him down an ally way--and to make sure he never pick pocketed again, beat him to a pulp, poped his arm out of its socket and hacked away at it with a dull machette. Not being able to cut all the way through Riley's flesh, the drug dealer left him there to bleed out and die. However, Lei was found by an unknown fire type, who took him to the hospital and saved his life. He never got to see them though.
Previously left handed, trained ampedextrious, and now right handed due to the scar on his shoulder, Lei perfected his art and became a master pick pocket--taking on the job as thug. He then advanced to Thief.




Additional Information:

He made his first name Riley so it could be shortened to “lei,” He introduces himself as Lei Gong because

A.) its the name of a Chinese lightning god, and
B.) He can have a 'normal' name to hide behind when he needs to.

A set of fosterparents he had forced him to take ballet. He was only made fun of for a little while until he electrocuted someone badly enough they couldn't move for a couple days.
Jem and Kelsey were his only childhood friends
He isn’t fond of murder/killing someone. however he will practically torture someone and play with them while they’re on the verge of death--but he’ll always let them live. He finds it inhumane to tourture and then kill--he's okay with quick(er) deaths and tourture with life. But not slow deaths.
